The Turkish Central Bank Friday bought $30 million at an average price of 1.5779 Turkish lira at its daily dollar-buying auction.
Bids totaled $105 million, while the average price bid was TRY1.5788.
In addition to the daily auctions of $30 million, the bank has the option to buy up to a further $30 million. The bank purchased an additional $20 million in the optional transactions Friday.
At 1105 GMT, the dollar traded at TRY1.5800, stronger than TRY1.5880 Thursday.
