Turkey’s privatization agency OIB expects $3.8 billion revenue from asset sales this year, Deputy Chairman Ahmet Aksu, said Friday.
Turkey’s privatization revenue dramatically fell 65% to $2.2 billion in 2009 due to the global financial crisis. Most of the revenue raised last year stemmed from the sale of the country’s electricity distribution grid companies.
Speaking at a Turkish-Arab Economic Forum, Aksu said, Turkey will complete the privatization of all electricity distribution grid companies by the end of 2010.
